What's on in Scarning


COFFEE MORNINGS  SCARNING VILLAGE  HALL
FROM 10 A M

 Contributions of cakes etc to sell and to serve with the coffee will be most welcome. The idea is for people to come along between 1Oam to 1 pm for a coffee and a chat. They are also invited to bring along any surplus produce, preserves etc that they would like to sell - so that others can enjoy the fruits of their labour! Dates for the rest of the year are:

All meetings are in Scarning Village Hall at 7.30pm. New members always welcome.

Art classes

Art classes are held in the Village Hall on Thursday mornings. For more information, please call Mike Ward at 01362 652935

Other groups and activities

There are also numerous groups and activities in the Village Hall. These include Tai Chi, Tai Kwon Do, Table Tennis,  a twice monthly Dance Club and meetings of the Women's Institute. Jacket and Pancake Supper 2014

This was a great success, over 80 villagers attended and here they are singing along to Frank Foreman who was accompanied by John Money and his guitar. Frank has written a number of songs about life in the village, and the lyrics are now available in book form at £5 and CD at £10 Both will be on sale at the Village Hall Coffee Mornings and other functions, at the church on Sundays or direct from Frank. All profits will go tothe Church Restoration Fund, with a donation to Parkinsons UK. For more information please contact Frank on 687082, or fforeman4@sky.com
